B.C. government faces opposition from First Nation for routine wolf cull

A wolf tracked by the B.C. government and targeted for culling has been wandering into a coastal First Nation. The allied clans of the Gitxsan First Nation feel the wolf is a spiritual messenger and are against the government kill.

For about a decade, the province has been killing hundreds of wolves every winter to reduce their population to protect threatened caribou herds.
