‘Be a fighter’: Democrat Renee Hardman reflects on landslide victory in Iowa Senate race

From MSNBC.

Democrat Renee Hardman was elected to the Iowa state Senate last week in a landslide victory. And in the process, she made history as the first Black woman elected to the legislative body and prevented Republicans from regaining a supermajority in the right-leaning state. She said she was able to pull this off by being a voice for all people. “I ran a campaign on affordability, on trying to work with childcare, livable wages, housing,” she said. “I’m going to go up there and fight the good fight.”
