Canadian delegation, including MPs, denied entry to West Bank

From CBC News.

A delegation of 30 Canadians, including six members of Parliament, was denied entry by Israel, into the occupied West Bank earlier today.

Each delegate, except the MPs, was asked to sign a form acknowledging the decision to deny entry because of ‘public security or public safety or public order considerations.’

The Israeli Defence Ministry agency that oversees civilian affairs in the Palestinian territories said the group was denied for ‘security reasons’ after it arrived at the Allenby crossing ‘without prior co-ordination.’

The goal of the three-day trip was to meet with displaced Palestinians, with stops in both the West Bank and Israel.

CORRECTION (Dec. 16, 2025): A previous version of this video quoted an interview with the National Council of Canadian Muslims, who said the Canadian MPs were denied entry at the border after some members of the delegation declined to sign a form saying they were public safety risks. In fact, the form simply states that the reason for denial is "public security or public safety or public order considerations" and asks that the person seeking entry acknowledge with a signature that the decision was delivered to them.
