The Syrian cousin of Ahmed al Ahmed, the man who disarmed one of the attackers on Sydney’s Bondi Beach, praised his cousin’s act of heroism. Ahmed, a 42-year-old fruit shop owner, had further surgery scheduled on Wednesday for shotgun wounds to his left shoulder and upper body, according to Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese.
