Crowds in Tel Aviv cheer Trump as Gazans return to devastated homes | DW News

From DW News.

Large crowds have gathered in Hostages’ Square in Israel as the nation awaits the release of the remaining Hamas hostages in Gaza. Hamas says they will be freed on Monday.. Of the 48 still being held, 20 are thought to be alive. Addressing the crowd, the US’ Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff said the relatives of hostages had "moved the world."
Donald Trump is expected to chair a Gaza peace summit alongside his Egyptian counterpart Abdel Fattah el-Sissi on Monday in Sharm el-Sheikh — with many other world leaders flying in for the meeting. For many Gazans though, their immediate concern is returning to what’s left of their homes as the ceasefire between Hamas and Israel holds. Aid deliveries to the Gaza Strip are expected to start ramping up as early as Sunday.
