A frightening traffic accident caught on dashcam has a Vancouver Island company calling for improvements to a popular highway rest stop in Nanoose Bay, B.C.
A video from earlier this month shows a pickup truck pulling out from a rest stop, right in front of the dump truck. The dump truck sideswipes the pickup, then crashes through the concrete divider and ends up on its side in the oncoming lanes.
As Kylie Stanton reports, locals say the area is notoriously dangerous, but the transportation ministry says at this point it has no plans to upgrade the location.
