From BBC News.
European Union leaders held an emergency informal summit to address an escalation in transatlantic tensions regarding Greenland and US trade threats.
The EU said it will defend itself from any kind of coercion after US President Donald Trump took back his threats to impose tariffs on US allies who opposed his plan to take over Greenland.
Trump said a framework deal with the NATO secretary general would allow the US to achieve everything it’s wanted in the semi-autonomous Danish territory.
The meeting concluded during the early hours of Friday morning, with Denmark’s Prime Minister now travelling from Brussels to Greenland.
