In an unprecedented move, the European Commission will move Ukraine’s membership process forward at a technical level despite Hungary blocking official talks on accession. The EU’s Marta Kos would not commit to timelines but said told DW she was “very happy” that EU membership is included in a peace plan for Ukraine.
