The world marveled over daredevil Alex Honnold’s climb to the top of a 101-story skyscraper. Almost every floor the American from Sacramento scaled had people watching from inside the skyscraper in Taiwan. Crowds of spectators gathered for watch parties with views of the climb. Honnold knew people were in the building but stayed focused as one misstep could send the free soloist plunging. Honnold’s mother, Diedre Wolownick, watched the climb from Las Vegas.
