Police are calling it a terrorist attack targeting Australia’s Jewish community. Officials say the country’s deadliest shooting in decades could have been worse if not for the bravery of a bystander. Candice Cole has the top story tonight.

The attack in Australia is raising fears for the safety of Jewish communities in Canada and around the world as Hanukkah celebrations began Sunday evening. Heidi Petracek reports on the calls for political leaders to do more to protect their communities.

An Ontario family says they have been targeted in two separate shootings at their homes. They believe it is part of an extortion campaign by the Bishnoi Gang. Canada has also accused the Indian government of employing the gang to conduct violent crimes on Canadian soil. Nathaniel Dove speaks to a family who was targeted.

Plus, an artist in the U.K. made history. Nnena Kalu is on the autism spectrum and communicates with limited verbal expression. However, she speaks powerfully through her art. That artistic expression won her the country’s most prestigious art award. Neetu Garcha has her story.
