Hamas expected to release Israeli hostages on Monday, as aid trucks enter Gaza | BBC News

From BBC News.

After two years of war, a ceasefire is in effect between Israel and Hamas.

A 72-hour window for Hamas to release all of the remaining hostages began on Friday, as Israeli forces began pulling back from parts of Gaza.

The hostages are set to be released tomorrow (Monday) morning, according to a senior Hamas official.

As part of this agreement, Israel is expected to release 1,700 detainees from Gaza and about 250 Palestinian prisoners, while dozens of aid trucks have begun entering Gaza, with more queueing at the Rafah crossing in Egypt.
