During Wednesday afternoon’s question period in the House of Commons, Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre questioned Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney’s whereabouts, as the Prime Minister was absent.

The opposition leader asked, “Where’s Waldo Mr. Speaker? He’s hiding! We know that he’s in Ottawa today, we know that he’s in the building-“ when he was interrupted by the Speaker of the House and instructed to continue in a different vein.

Pierre then picked up where he left off, “Mr. Speaker I think we’re finding out that if you’re not there, you don’t care.”

Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Tim Hodgson responded to the quip on Carney’s behalf, “I invite the member opposite to buy a ticket and come to Calgary tomorrow and see who cares.”
