Dawon Matthews, 33, turned setbacks in his youth into a budding empire. He currently owns 17 rental properties, multiple service businesses, and two Houston food trucks. One of them, Goodies Soul Kitchen, is already pulling in over $1 million a year ($20K/week) with nearly 50% profit margins. From studying businesses like Chick-Fil-A, and running his in a similar fashion, Dawon says that he works about two hours a day.
