US envoy Steve Witkoff is due in Moscow next week, for talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Donald Trump has defended Witkoff over accusations that he coached a senior Russian official on how to pitch peace terms to the US president. Despite the diplomatic offensive, there’s been no let-up in Russian attacks.
