From Global News.
India’s High Commissioner to Canada, Dinesh Patnaik, said on Sunday that India and Canada are beginning to move with a sense of urgency after two years of stalled talks.
"We have wasted two years doing nothing," he said and added, "So there’s an urgency to make up for that time."
"Now we are living in a world where the natural rules-based order, which gave a certainty to the world, is not functioning the way it should have been functioning," Patnaik said, referring to Carney’s speech at Davos.
Prime Minister Mark Carney will likely visit India in the first week of March. The trip, which is yet to be confirmed by the Prime Minister’s office, could signal a reset in relations between New Delhi and Ottawa.
