Attorney General Pam Bondi appeared to dodge Rep. Pramila Jayapal’s demand that she apologize to the survivors of late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein over the Department of Justice’s handling of the Epstein files release.

During a heading of the House Judiciary Committee, Bondi tried to steer the question toward former Attorney General Merrick Garland and accused Democrats of “theatrics.”

“I’m not going to get in the gutter for her theatrics,” Bondi said as Jayapal accused the attorney general of a “massive coverup”
