New York City’s Times Square gets a colorful New Year’s Eve preview as Times Square Alliance and Countdown Entertainment stage the annual confetti test at Broadway Plaza ahead of the ball drop. About 3,000 pounds of confetti — filled with people’s wishes — will fly at midnight on New Year’s Eve.
