New South Wales Police said that nine people were killed in a shooting at Bondi Beach.

The service said at least 11 others are also injured, including two police officers.

One gunman has also been killed and a second is in critical condition, police said.

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese describes the scenes in Bondi as "shocking and distressing"

A Hanukkah event was taking part at the beach, but police say it is still unknown if the incident is connected to it.
