Venezuelan political opposition leader María Corina Machado was awarded the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize for her longtime work promoting democracy and fighting dictatorship in Venezuela. CBS News spoke with Machado on Jan. 31, 2024, after Venezuela’s highest court upheld a 15-year ban on her from holding office in the country.
