As government ministers fan out across Canada to sell their government’s first budget, Finance Minister Francois-Philippe Champagne tells The West Block how the Liberals plan to court opposition for support.
 
He said that three things he wants to leave in the audience’s minds are that the budget is an "investment budget," it contains "something for everyone," and that it aims to set the nation on a path toward "prosperity and growth."
 
When asked about why the NDP should vote for the budget, he said, "I would say feel the mood of the nation, people have little patience, they see the headwind, they know it’s a historic moment, we need to meet the moment."
