Officials from India and the European Union (EU) on Tuesday signed a landmark trade deal along with other agreements such as the India-EU Security and Defence Partnership.

"We did it. We delivered the mother of all deals," said President of the European Commission, Ursula Von Der Leyen.

"This is not just a trade agreement; it is a new blueprint for shared prosperity," said Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi.

Indian Trade Minister Piyush Goyal added that India hopes that the trade deal with the European Union will come into force by the end of 2026.
