Israel said Hersh Goldberg-Polin, Ori Danino, Eden Yerushalmi, Almog Sarusi, Alexander Lobanov, and Carmel Gat were killed last August by Hamas, shortly before Israeli troops arrived. The Israeli Health Ministry said that autopsies had determined the hostages were shot at close range.
