Mark Rutte, Secretary General of NATO, praised US President Donald Trump’s stance on defense spending at the World Economic Forum in Davos. During a panel discussion, Rutte said that there was "no way" some of Europe’s major economies would have reached the commitment to spend 2% of their GDP on defense in 2025 without Trump’s pressure.
