Swastikas and spray-painted inscriptions targeting paedophiles and the former president of the Arab World Institute, Jack Lang, a former French Minister of Culture whose name is mentioned in the Epstein files, have been spray-painted on the Statue of the Republic on the Place de la République in Paris. Lang was forced out of his post as head of the Arab World Institute (IMA) earlier this month over alleged financial ties with Epstein. The 86-year-old has denied any wrongdoing, saying he was "shocked" that his name appeared in the statutes of an offshore company Epstein founded in 2016.
