A large convoy of Syrian security forces enters Aleppo’s Kurdish-majority neighbourhood of Sheikh Maqsud as dozens of civilians stream out of the area amid a pause in fighting. Syria’s army has since said it had stopped operations after completing a "security sweep" of the neighbourhood where it clashed with Kurdish forces, but Kurdish forces deny that fighting has stopped. Clashes began on Tuesday but renewed overnight after Kurdish fighters defied calls to surrender during a ceasefire.
