The Palestinian flag is flying over Toronto’s city hall for the first time this morning after similar moves by other Canadian cities.

The International Centre of Justice for Palestinians, which petitioned for the move, says it marks a “symbolic show of solidarity” on the 37th anniversary of the Palestinian Declaration of Independence.
