Speaking in Palm Beach, Fla. on Friday, U.S. President Donald Trump touted the “great relationship” he has with Venezuela’s interim government, led by acting president Delcy Rodriguez.

Trump’s remark comes nearly two weeks after the capture of President Nicolas Maduro and his wife Cilia Flores. The two were arraigned in New York City on charges including narco-terrorism conspiracy.

Trump also claimed Venezuela offered the U.S. “50 million barrels” of oil, which he said is “traveling nicely” to the U.S.

The Republican leader has faced widespread backlash after threatening his administration would soon run Venezuela and take oil as compensation for damages in the U.S. allegedly caused by Maduro’s regime.
