US military kills 8 with 3 more alleged drug boats strikes

On Tuesday, the U.S. military says it struck three more alleged drug boats, killing eight people. President Donald Trump’s objectives remain unclear after more than 20 deadly strikes and a massive buildup of military force in the Caribbean.

Minority leader Chuck Schumer decried the decision to not show lawmakers unedited videos of the strikes, “How can you trust their transparency on all the other issues swirling about in the Caribbean?”

With the buildup of military might, the recent seizure of an oil tanker and Trump’s touted desire to control Venezuela’s vast oil reserves, there’s growing worry that the U.S. may be heading down a familiar path. Reggie Cecchini reports.
