White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt provived insight into a coversation between Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz and President donald Trump, saying Walz asked Trump to "scale down" ICE agents in Minneapolis. Walz’s office said in a statement that he had a "productive" call with the president about an hour after Trump himself said the two were on a "similar wavelength."

Leavitt also took a question tied to Alex Pretti’s gun ownership. Trump has criticized Alex Pretti for bringing a gun to observe federal agents, even though the ICU nurse was licensed to carry the weapon.
