WATCH: Gov. Walz pleads for federal cooperation after deadly ICE shooting | ASL interpretation

From PBS NewsHour.

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz pled for transparency and cooperation from the federal government in a wide ranging news conference on Thursday, one day after a Minnesota woman was killed by an ICE officer in Minneapolis. Walz’s comments came on the heels of reporting that the FBI blocked Minneapolis police from participating in the shooting investigation, and after President Trump and other administration officials rushed to label the shooting victim a “domestic terrorist” without evidence. Walz wrapped up the conference by asking to federal officials to “give us accountability, listen to local leaders, ratchet down the rhetoric, let people feel safe in their person, and let’s let our kids go to school without fear.”
