President Donald Trump just signed an executive order banning large institutional investors from buying single family homes. The goal: making housing more affordable, including for first-time buyers and young families. But will this ban actually help with affordability? PBS News’ Cecilia Lallmann spoke with Tobias Peter of the American Enterprise Institute and Laurie Goodman of the Urban Institute to hear about the action and why it likely won’t mean immediate relief.
