White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said President Donald Trump spoke with Minnesota Governor Tim Walz and "outlined a clear and simple path to restoring law and order" in the state.

Trump described the call with Walz as "very good," saying he was "on a similar wavelength" with the Democratic governor.

Walz and other Democratic leaders have fiercely opposed Trump’s immigration surge, which they characterize as a lawless invasion that puts public safety at risk.
