Despite a crackdown on protesters, unrest is still simmering in Iran. According to the Human Rights Activist News Agency, more than three thousand have died in rallies that erupted over the failing economy. Other estimates put the death toll much higher. Corruption, inflation, and sanctions have pushed many Iranians into poverty, and they have lost hope.
