The Louvre museum was the target of a robbery in what an expert has dubbed "the heist of the decade." The stolen pieces of jewelry included tiaras, necklaces and earrings that are part of the French Crown Jewels collection at the museum in Paris.
The collection was housed in the Louvre’s Galerie d’Apollon, is the first royal gallery in France, built by King Louis XIV.
