Work crews have started tearing down part of the East Wing of the White House to build US President Donald Trump’s planned ballroom.
Trump has said the 90,000-square-foot ballroom will have bulletproof glass walls and a capacity of 1,000 people. The president is partly funding the work, while private and corporate donors will cover the rest of the $250-million construction.
