From Global News.
Days after meeting again with U.S. President Donald Trump about a potential resolution to the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Trump’s call to freeze frontlines on both sides was a “good compromise” while negotiations continue.
Zelenskyy, however, expressed doubt that his Russian counterpart, President Vladimir Putin would support the idea – a point he said he made clear to Trump as well.
This remark comes as an expected meeting between Trump and Putin in Hungary was put on hold. Zelenskyy has expressed desire to join the talks for trilateral discussions.
As uncertainty looms over Zelenskyy and his people, the Russian military continues to bombard Ukraine – most recently in the form of an airstrike on a Kharkiv kindergarten on Wednesday.
