From Global News.
During Question Period on Wednesday, Opposition Leader Pierre Poilievre accused Prime Minister Mark Carney of driving up grocery prices through hidden “Liberal taxes” on farmers and manufacturers.
Carney countered that independent research shows the industrial carbon tax has a “net impact of around zero per cent” on food prices, while a Liberal minister dismissed the Opposition’s claims as “imaginary taxes.”
The clash then turned to the auto sector, where Poilievre charged the government with failing to deliver a promised U.S. trade deal and “selling out” Canadian workers.
