President Donald Trump says he hopes that US sanctions placed on Russia’s two largest oil companies in response to the lack of progress in talks to end the Ukraine war can soon be lifted. "These are tremendous sanctions… And we hope that they won’t be on for long. We hope that the war is settled," Trump tells reporters in the Oval Office while sitting alongside NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte. SOUNDBITE
