The American missile destroyer USS Gravely arrives in Port of Spain, the capital of the Caribbean archipelago Trinidad and Tobago. The stationing of the warship about ten kilometers from Venezuela comes amid increasing pressure from US President Donald Trump on his Venezuelan counterpart Nicolas Maduro’s administration. The arrival of the USS Gravely, along with a unit of marines, for exercises with the Trinidadian army, are part of a mounting military campaign by Donald Trump against drug-trafficking organizations in Latin America.
