A letter from the City of Richmond on the B.C. Lower Mainland sent to a group of 150 property owners is raising alarm bells.
It comes after the B.C. Supreme Court granted Cowichan Nation title to 7.5 square kilometres of land in South Richmond in a landmark ruling.
The city’s mayor is now warning property owners that the case could compromise the validity of their ownership. But a lawyer for the Cowichan tribes is refuting those concerns.
