Trump declines to speak with Carney at summit, calls anti-tariff ad ‘dirty pool’

U.S. President Donald Trump, speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One, said he wouldn’t meet with Prime Minister Mark Carney at an ASEAN summit in Malaysia and that he won’t speak to him ‘any time soon.’ Trump has promised to impose a further 10 per cent duty on Canadian goods in retaliation for Ontario government TV ads that quote former president Ronald Reagan’s criticism of tariffs.
