Both Israel and Hamas have accused the other of violating the ceasefire agreement and Israel has resumed airstrikes on Gaza.

The return of hostages and remains of dead hostages is central to the deal and those transfers could now be in jeopardy.

“I don’t believe it will spiral out of control because neither side wants to return to full-scale war and most importantly President Trump doesn’t want to go there,” says Laura Blumenfeld of Johns Hopkins University
