Trump sends envoys to Kyiv, Moscow to discuss Russia-Ukraine peace plan

U.S. President Donald Trump says he’s sending diplomats to the Ukrainian and Russian capitals to discuss the peace proposal.

Steve Witkoff will meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin, while Army Secretary Dan Driscoll will sit down with Ukrainian officials.

Neither country has released details on the specific terms they’re negotiating.

Nathaniel Dove spoke to someone who’s had frequent meetings with both sides about the challenges ahead.
