When it comes to politicians spreading false information, one person in particular may come to mind.

But while U.S. President Donald Trump is an extreme example, a lot of viewers might agree that oversight of “untruths” could be a good idea – the question is, how do you regulate it?

A Toronto man has created an electronic petition urging federal politicians to hold members of Parliament accountable for telling lies.

Toronto MP Kareem Bardeesy sponsored the petition and says the issue “has clearly struck a chord.”
