A research scientist with Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada is recommending that farmers on the Island look to soybeans as a way to reduce nitrogen in nearby waterways. He and his DFO colleague say the move could translate into a significant drop in sea lettuce and anoxic events. CBC’s Nancy Russell went to the Dunk River to find out more.
