TikTok signs deal with investors to keep operating in U.S.

TikTok will sell its U.S. business to three investors: Oracle, Silver Lake and MGX. Former president Joe Biden had signed a law in 2024 that would have banned TikTok if it didn’t find American owners. The app went dark in the U.S. for a few hours in January, until President Donald Trump signed an executive order allowing it to keep running while an agreement for its sale was reached.
