Poilievre vows to approve pipeline to west coast no matter who objects if he’s elected Canada’s PM

From Global News.

According to a new opinion poll, the vast majority of Canadians support building new oil pipelines once existing infrastructure is maxed out.

The Ipsos poll found 83 per cent of Canadians surveyed are in favour of exporting oil and gas to countries other than the U.S.

And 68 per cent of those surveyed support building a pipeline to the B.C. coast., but 72 per cent felt the existing infrastructure should be maxed out before building new pipelines.

Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre supports the building of a new pipeline and says if he’s elected prime minister, he will approve the project no matter who objects.

Poilievre made the comments in a year end interview with Global National’s Dawna Friesen. David Akin has a preview.
