The spirit of the holiday season begins each summer for a Vancouver Island couple. That’s the lead time James and Denise Madeiros need to create a Christmas village scene that attracts families every December.

“We’ve got so many buildings now that we can’t display them all at once,” Denise Madeiros said, “this area is too small, we have to move.”

James Madeiros said the reactions from visitors are what make the project worth his time, “When people leave here and say ‘guys, you just put me in the Christmas spirit’ that has made it all for us.”
