Above Beirut’s rooftops, locals have a unique way of connecting with each other through the ancient pigeon game "Kash Hamam."

In this game, locals release flocks of pigeons to fly over a maze of city streets. Each bird has its own name, and the owners can recognize them even when they are flying. While the birds circle high above, their owners use different tactics, like throwing oranges towards the sky, to lure other players’ pigeons into their loft. If they succeed, the player increases their flock and can decide the pigeon’s fate.
