BREAKING: Trump Addresses Nation After Invading Venezuela & Capturing Maduro

From Philip DeFranco.

Trump addresses the nation after the US invaded Venezuela and kidnapped the President this morning.

Maduro, the President of Venezuela, is being transported back to the United States to face trial.

Delta Force captured him without any American casualties but there are reports of Venezuelan casualties.

There are rumors and various reports floating around that this may have been a negotiated exit by Maduro but we have no confirmation on that as of right now.

The US also conducted several air strikes across the nation, including blowing up Hugo Chavez’s tomb.

Trump did not seek congressional approval for the invasion of Venezuela which makes this an illegal war, nor did he tell the American public why he needs to wage this war which makes this an illegitimate war.

Venezuela’s vice president is now in charge of the nation but the opposition says that they’re ready to take control, leading the country down a dangerous path that could result in a civil war.

The world’s reaction is all over the place.

Brazil and Colombia oppose it but Ukraine supports it.

Russia called the invasion an “act of armed aggression”.

The EU said they stand with the Venezuelan people and called for a solution to respect international law and the UN charter.

The through-line here isn’t hard to see though:

American opposition to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and the soon Chinese invasion is based on the rules based international order – an order that says invading another country to take their resources and/or dispose of their government is illegal.

And so you have many asking how can the US oppose either invasion when it’s waging a war that is also illegal at home and abroad? What leg does it have to stand on?

And when Venezuelan refugees begin flooding our southern border again, will Trump welcome them with open arms? After all, it was him that destabilized their home again.
